I Shot My First Squirrel!

March 29, 2022 by Jacquie

I finally took the time to try out Dad’s big zoom lens for the first time.

I had never changed a camera lens before, so it seemed really intimidating and I kept putting it off because I didn’t want to break anything.

Turns out it’s super easy. Thank you, YouTube!

So this handsome little guy in my neighbour’s tree is the first subject of my new addiction.😍

When my dad got this lens about three years ago, I started calling him Bird-Stalking Dude.

I didn’t really see appeal of chasing birds but… now I’m hooked. With this big fancy lens it’s like magic!😍

Now I need to work on building some core and arm muscles. Those things are heavy!! … or maybe I’m supposed to use a tripod, I don’t know for sure yet😂

I just took these from inside my house through a dirty window (because if I opened the door the cats would scare the birds away).

I can’t wait to get outside and see what else I can find! ….. So I guess it would be accurate to call me Bird-Stalking Gal.😁
