It turns out that the difference between a wedding photographer and second shooter is sort of like the difference between a head chef and sous chef. Or solo pianist and accompanist. Or YouTuber and virtual assistant.
They’re not the same at all.
In the first I struggle, in the second I thrive.
It’s good to try taking a lead role every once in a while, because it just confirms over and over that I was born to be a schekjbenjel.
I’m grateful for this opportunity to do my first solo wedding, and may do more in the future, but second shooting is definitely my jam.
